Landlord's in Ontario who are expecting to get paid for their services are in hot water this week, as Canada's bestest chubbiest dictator had some choice words for them and their craaaazy expectations:
The federal and provincial governments have announced the Canada Emergency Commercial Rent Assistance program for small businesses, where landlords are able to receive government-issued funds to cover 50% of the rent and have tenants pay 25%.
That leaves just 25% for landlords to pay themselves, but it seems like that's not enough for some commercial property owners.
And Ford came down hard on Tuesday on those who may be looking to take advantage of the current situation.
"A message to all these landlords: Don't force my hand," Ford warned in Tuesday's briefing. "Work things out because I'm trying to compromise here.
"We're giving you 75% of what you're asking for. Nothing drives me more crazy than greedy landlords taking advantage of people and small business owners that are just trying to keep their head above water.
"Let's see what happens when the federal government rolls this out later this week. Let's see how the landlords react. Again, I'm trying to be fair but don't push me," the Premier added.
Many people in Ontario are not receiving any financial support, or very little financial support through the Whuflu pandemic, while many people ARE receiving full cheques or even making more money NOT working than working. Those receiving little or no support and want to work, or at least eek out a living, are greedy. There is no doubt about that. Wanting food, or wanting to pay a mortgage is out-and-out greed. This must stop.
Those receiving full cheques cannot understand why people not receiving cheques are so damn greedy? Like little pigs.
It's not enough that a certain % of our population are suffering greatly by receiving little to no money each month, we, as a society need to shame them straight to hell.
And our leader in this is Doug Ford.
He said what needed to be said.
Fortunately for us though, Ford, and ALL mommygov are receiving full cheques every month for not working, or for working less, or maybe even for just doing their job. Only they can decide who and who isn't greedy. No one else can decide.
Landlord's want their rent and that makes them greedy.
Perhaps this sheds light on the overdue roundup of military style attack weapons widely held by greedy people across Canada. The clerk at the undocumented military style weapons store here at Yonge and Eglinton (in Toronto, the center of the universe) was not practicing social distancing.
